Dear Sonoma Mountain Community,
I am thrilled to welcome you to the 2016-2017 school year at Sonoma Mountain! I am looking forward to hearing about your summer adventures, getting caught up with returning families, and meeting our newest Mountain Lions.
This year will be a rewarding one for your child. Our theme this school year is Be a HERO: Helping Each Other Reach Our Dreams. Through teamwork and our partnership with you, we will help all of our students reach their fullest potential in reading and math, learn about the world in which they live, and investigate the sciences.
We need volunteers young and old to help with our annual Campus Clean-Up. This is a great opportunity to help build school pride in our youngsters as we spend some time sprucing up the campus. We have wine barrel gardens to tend, soil to amend, plants to plant, and bark to spread as we add that extra pop of color to the campus.
This wonderful event is from 9am-12pm on Friday, August 12th. Just meet in front of our school! Come on out in your comfy clothes, sunscreen, and gloves (if you prefer). Garden tools are limited, so it is always appreciated if you can bring a tool or two to share.
Parent volunteers are also needed on this day to help put together First Day Packets. The more hands, the better!
